Lovesick Blues cover

"Lovesick Blues" is a Tin Pan Alley composition created by Cliff Friend with lyrics by Irving Mills, originally debuting in the 1922 musical "Oh, Ernest." Prior artists including Elsie Clark, Jack Shea, Emmett Miller, and Rex Griffin recorded versions before Hank Williams performed it on Louisiana Hayride in 1948. Williams' rendition received strong audience approval, leading him to record his own version despite resistance from his producer Fred Rose and band members.
