"Sanctuary" was the second single released by Iron Maiden, a British heavy metal band. The song was originally written by guitarist Rob Angelo, who was a member of the band in 1977 and received £300 for selling the song's rights. Initially released as a standalone single, it was later included on the American version of their self-titled debut album and eventually added to all versions when the album was reissued in 1998.
