A.B. Quintanilla is an American record producer, songwriter, and musician born in 1963. Recognized as a major force in cumbia music, he has shaped the genre through his innovative work across multiple styles including tejano, Latin pop, and rhythm and blues. He gained widespread prominence through his production work on his sister Selena's albums and singles. Beyond his collaborative efforts, Quintanilla founded and performed with the musical groups Kumbia Kings and Kumbia All Starz, crafting numerous successful recordings for both ensembles. His contributions extend to producing and writing music for various other artists throughout his career.
