Candyskins were an English rock band from Oxford who emerged in 1989 during the height of the city's vibrant music scene. Associated with the power pop and Britpop movements, they released four studio albums throughout the 1990s and earned recognition from the British music press as influential early figures of the Britpop era. Despite their artistic credibility, the band achieved less mainstream commercial traction than fellow Oxford acts like Radiohead and Supergrass. They disbanded in 1998 after nearly a decade of activity.
