The Walkabouts were an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1984. The group was anchored by vocalists Carla Torgerson and Chris Eckman, the latter serving as primary songwriter. While the supporting lineup shifted throughout their history, the band maintained a stable core that frequently included Michael Wells, Glenn Slater, and Terri Moeller. Active for over three decades, the Walkabouts dissolved in 2015, leaving behind a body of work rooted in the Seattle rock scene.
