For Your Love cover

Graham Gouldman composed this rock track, which the Yardbirds recorded and released in March 1965. It became their initial top ten success across the UK, Canada, and the United States. The song represented a stylistic shift away from the group's blues-oriented origins toward a more commercially-oriented pop rock approach. This direction prompted guitarist Eric Clapton to depart the band shortly following the single's release. The track was subsequently featured on Herman's Hermits' self-titled album later that year.
