"Mrs. Robinson" is a track from Simon & Garfunkel's fourth studio album, Bookends, released in 1968. Paul Simon began writing the song before the 1967 film The Graduate, which featured only partial versions. The complete song was released as a single in April 1968 through Columbia Records. Simon created the track after the film's director rejected two earlier song submissions, and shorter versions appeared on The Graduate's soundtrack album.
