Big Hawk was an American rapper from Houston, Texas, born in 1969. He emerged as a founding member of the Screwed Up Click, the influential rap collective led by DJ Screw. Active in the hip-hop scene until his death in 2006, Big Hawk became a notable figure in the Houston rap community and southern hip-hop movement. His work contributed to the development of the Houston sound and the broader trap and Texas music traditions that would influence hip-hop for decades to come.
