Big Bill Broonzy

Big Bill Broonzy was an influential American blues musician whose career spanned from the 1920s through the 1950s. Born in Mississippi, he became a central figure in Delta blues and later adapted his style to acoustic Chicago blues. Known for his versatility across country blues, folk blues, and acoustic traditions, Broonzy developed a distinctive guitar technique that influenced generations of blues performers. His recordings documented the evolution of blues music during a transformative period in American music history. He died in 1958 at age 65.
