"Chant No. 1" is a new wave track by English band Spandau Ballet, released in mid-1981 as the opening single from their second album. The guitarist and songwriter drew inspiration from a fashionable London nightclub, attempting to recreate the funk sound prevalent there and filming the music video at the venue itself to reinforce the band's connection to the contemporary Soho cultural scene.
