"Let's Have a Party" was composed by Jessie Mae Robinson in 1957 and initially recorded by Elvis Presley for the film Loving You. Wanda Jackson included the song on her debut album in 1958, then released it as a single in 1960. Jackson's version entered the UK charts in September 1960, remaining for eight weeks and peaking at number 32, while also reaching number 37 on the Billboard Hot 100. The recording was later used in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society and received Grammy Hall of Fame induction in 2024.
