"Let's Get It Started" is a sanitized rendition of the original "Let's Get Retarded" by the Black Eyed Peas, taken from their third studio album Elephunk released in 2003. The reworked version was initially created for promotional use during the 2004 NBA playoffs broadcast on ABC. The clean version subsequently became the fourth and final single from Elephunk, distributed by A&M Records and Interscope Records, and was also included on a reissued edition of the album.
