Verve's debut EP came out in December 1992 through different record labels depending on region—Vernon Yard Recordings handled the American release while Hut Records released it in the UK. The EP generated material that would later be reused, with two of its tracks appearing as B-sides on the compilation No Come Down and also being included on the singles compilation This Is Music: The Singles 92–98.
