This extract discusses Z, the third extended play by American R&B artist SZA. Following the independent release of two earlier EPs titled See.SZA.Run and S, SZA signed with Top Dawg Entertainment, an independent music label. The project was recorded during summer 2013 in Carson, California with assistance from fellow TDE artist Isaiah Rashad and other collaborators, before being officially released by the label in April 2014.
