Canadian Idol is a Canadian reality television singing competition that debuted on CTV, following the format of the British program Pop Idol. The show aimed to identify Canada's most talented young vocalists through a competitive audition process. Ben Mulroney served as the program's host throughout its run, while various personalities filled the role of roving reporter across different seasons, including Jon Dore in the early years, followed by Elena Juatco, Dave Kerr, and Jully Black in subsequent seasons.
