8 Ball & MJG is an American hip hop duo from Orange Mound, Memphis, Tennessee. The pair formed their partnership at Ridgeway Middle School in 1984 and became prominent figures in the Memphis rap scene. They made their official recording debut in 1993 with Comin' Out Hard, followed by a series of albums including On the Outside Looking In, On Top of the World, In Our Lifetime, Space Age 4 Eva, Living Legends, Ridin High, and Ten Toes Down. Throughout their career spanning multiple decades, 8 Ball & MJG maintained a significant presence in hip hop, contributing substantially to the development of the Memphis rap tradition.
