Ant & Dec is a British television presenting duo comprising Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both from Newcastle upon Tyne. The pair first met as child actors on the CBBC drama series Byker Grove, where they played characters named PJ and Duncan. They subsequently launched a music career under the stage names PJ & Duncan, performing as pop musicians throughout the late 1980s and beyond. Since transitioning to television presenting, Ant & Dec have become regarded as Britain's most prominent and accomplished presenting partnership of the 21st century, maintaining a consistent presence on primetime television and establishing themselves as central figures in British entertainment.
