Uncle Tupelo

Uncle was an American folk group that emerged in 1987 and remained active until May 1994. Operating during the latter part of the folk music revival, the band developed their sound within the broader folk tradition. The group's relatively brief seven-year existence marked a distinctive chapter in American folk music of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
