Trans-Siberian Orchestra is an American symphonic metal band established in 1996 by producer and composer Paul O'Neill, alongside keyboardist Robert Kinkel and guitarists Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli. The group rose to prominence following their 1999 tour in support of their second album, The Christmas Attic. Known for blending progressive rock with neoclassical metal elements, TSO has become renowned for elaborate live productions featuring orchestral arrangements, synchronized lighting, and visual effects. The band has released multiple rock operas, including concept albums centered on Christmas themes and historical narratives. With over ten million albums and concert tickets sold, TSO has established itself as a major touring force while maintaining a strong commitment to charitable endeavors.
