"Fight Like a Brave" was the first and only single released from Red Hot Chili Peppers' third studio album, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, marking the band's debut single release. It came out in late September 1987. The single's B-side featured a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Fire," which was subsequently included on later releases as a memorial to deceased guitarist Hillel Slovak.
