The song was issued as the third single in February 1996 by Warner Bros., accompanied by a music video directed by Gavin Bowden. Written by band members Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Dave Navarro, and Chad Smith, it achieved chart success, reaching number eleven on the UK Singles Chart and number eight on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. Notably, while excluded from the band's Greatest Hits compilation, its music video appeared on the accompanying DVD release.
