Simon & Garfunkel was an American duo consisting of singer-songwriter Paul Simon and vocalist Art Garfunkel. Active from 1963 to 1970, they became one of the most commercially successful acts of the 1960s, blending folk, rock, and pop sensibilities. The pair produced multiple chart-topping hits, including "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," and "Bridge over Troubled Water," the latter two earning Grammy Awards for Record of the Year. Their discography further included acclaimed recordings such as "Homeward Bound," "I Am a Rock," "The Boxer," and "America," establishing them as defining voices of the contemporary folk and folk-rock movements during their era.
