Protest the Hero
Protest the Hero is a Canadian progressive metal band originating from Whitby, Ontario. Formed in 1999 under the initial name Happy Go Lucky, the group later adopted their current moniker and released their debut extended play, Search for the Truth, in 2002. The band's first full-length album, Kezia, arrived in 2005 through the Canadian independent label Underground Operations. Known for blending progressive metal with elements of metalcore and math rock, Protest the Hero has established themselves as a distinctive force within Canada's heavy music landscape.
