N.O.R.E. (Victor James Santiago Jr.) is an American rapper and podcaster from Queens. Rising to prominence in the mid-1990s as half of the East Coast hip-hop duo Capone-N-Noreaga, he helped define the hardcore rap sound of the era. The partnership, formed in 1995 with rapper Capone, produced five studio albums before the duo temporarily disbanded to explore solo work. Known for his contributions to mafioso rap and boom bap production, N.O.R.E. has maintained a presence in hip-hop culture while expanding into podcasting.
