Michelle McManus is a Scottish pop singer, broadcaster, and television presenter born in 1980. She rose to prominence after winning the second series of Pop Idol in 2003, becoming a significant figure in early-2000s UK pop music. In 2004, McManus achieved a notable milestone when her debut single entered the UK Singles Chart at number one, making her the first Scottish female artist to accomplish this feat. Beyond recording, she has maintained an extensive media career, previously hosting an afternoon programme on BBC Radio Scotland and currently presenting The Entertainment Mix on BBC Scotland.
