This was the inaugural single released by Australian hard rock group AC/DC on 22 July 1974. It reached number 50 on the Australian charts on 26 August 1974. The recording featured Dave Evans on lead vocals before being succeeded by Bon Scott, Colin Burgess on drums (formerly of Masters Apprentices), and George Young on bass guitar (formerly of The Easybeats). The band later re-recorded and re-arranged the track for their 1975 Australian album T.N.T. and the 1976 international version of High Voltage.
