Men at Work are an Australian rock and pop band established in Melbourne in 1979. Founded by Colin Hay, who serves as lead vocalist and guitarist, the group evolved from an acoustic partnership between Hay and Ron Strykert into a fuller ensemble featuring Strykert on lead guitar, Jerry Speier on drums, Greg Ham on flute and saxophone, and John Rees on bass. Managed by Russell Depeller, Men at Work achieved significant commercial success throughout the early 1980s with internationally recognized hits including "Down Under," "Who Can It Be Now?," and "It's a Mistake." The band remained active until 1985, leaving a lasting impact on the new wave and pop-rock landscape of their era.
