Mediaeval Baebes is a British vocal ensemble established in 1996 by Dorothy Carter and Katharine Blake. The group brings together Blake's former collaborators from Miranda Sex Garden alongside additional musicians united by a shared passion for medieval music. Known for its fluid membership structure, the ensemble typically comprises between six and twelve vocalists who vary across different releases. The group has achieved significant commercial success, accumulating approximately 500,000 record sales globally by 2010, with their album Worldes Blysse reaching 250,000 copies sold and becoming their most popular recording.
