Phil Woods
Mchala Woods was an American jazz musician active from 1931 to 2015. Working primarily in post-bop and hard bop styles, Woods contributed to the jazz and blues landscape across a career spanning several decades. In 2008, Woods was among those affected by the Universal fire, a significant event in the artist's later years. Woods's long engagement with modern jazz forms established him as part of the post-war jazz evolution.
