David Nesta "Ziggy" Marley is a Jamaican reggae musician, songwriter, and producer born in 1968. As the eldest son of Bob Marley, he emerged as a significant figure in reggae music in his own right. Marley fronted the family ensemble Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, which recorded eight studio albums before disbanding in 2002. He subsequently established himself as a solo artist through his independent label Tuff Gong Worldwide, earning eight Grammy Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award. Beyond music, Marley has worked as an author and philanthropist, maintaining a multifaceted career in entertainment and social causes.
