Sean Paul is a Jamaican rapper, singer, and songwriter born in 1973. He emerged in the music scene with his debut album Stage One in 2000. International recognition came through his second album Dutty Rock (2002), which featured the hit single "Get Busy," topping the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. He continued his chart success with his third album The Trinity (2005), which included another number-one single, "Temperature." Known for blending reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop influences with pop sensibilities, Sean Paul has become one of Jamaica's most commercially successful musical exports.
