Robert Peter Williams is an English singer-songwriter who rose to prominence as a member of Take That between 1990 and 1995 before establishing a successful solo career from 1996 onwards. His 1997 debut album Life thru a Lens achieved significant commercial success, particularly through the hit single "Angels". Subsequent releases, including his second album featuring "Millennium" and "She's the One", solidified his position as a major recording artist. Williams has achieved numerous chart accolades, including seven UK number-one singles and 13 of his 14 studio albums reaching the top position in the UK charts. His commercial impact extends to live performance; he holds a Guinness World Record for selling 1.6 million concert tickets in a single day during his 2006 Close Encounters Tour. His musical range spans pop, rock, dance, and adult contemporary styles.
