Peter Tosh was a Jamaican reggae musician and Rastafari advocate who achieved prominence as a founding member of the Wailers alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer from 1963 to 1976. Following the band's dissolution, he pursued a flourishing solo career while becoming an influential voice for Rastafarian spirituality and philosophy. His musical output encompassed roots reggae, rocksteady, and ska influences, blending these styles with socially conscious lyrics. Tosh's career was cut short when he was killed during a home invasion in September 1987, leaving behind a significant legacy in reggae music and cultural activism.
