Neil Young is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter born in 1945 in Canada. The son of journalist Scott Young, he launched his music career in Winnipeg during the 1960s before relocating to Los Angeles. There he co-founded the folk rock group Buffalo Springfield and later pursued a prolific solo career, frequently collaborating with the band Crazy Horse. His discography includes influential albums spanning multiple decades, establishing him as a key figure in rock and folk music. Young also served as a contributing member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, participating in their successful 1970 release.
