Dónde Están los Ladrones? is Shakira's fourth studio album, released in September 1998 through Sony Music Colombia. Following her successful Latin American breakthrough with her previous album, Shakira worked with producer Emilio Estefan, who recognized her capacity to penetrate the U.S. Latin music market and took on a managerial role. The album features a rock en español style combined with Latin pop and Middle Eastern musical influences.
