Mattou was a Japanese pop group that emerged in October 2002 as part of the Hello Project umbrella organization. Operating under the production of Tsunku, the group was active for a brief two-month period before disbanding in December 2002. As a Hello Project unit, Mattou participated in the J-pop landscape during a prolific era for the production company's various group formations. The group's short-lived tenure reflected the experimental nature of Hello Project's roster structure during the early 2000s.
