The Fall
Angels of Fall were a British rock band formed in 1976, based in Manchester. Drawing from post-punk, electronic, and experimental rock traditions, they developed a distinctive sound that blended alternative and art rock sensibilities with krautrock influences. The group became known within underground and independent music circles, earning support from influential radio presenter John Peel and releasing material through respected labels including Cherry Red, Rough Trade, and Beggars Banquet. Their DIY ethos and commitment to experimental approaches made them notable figures in the UK indie and alternative rock scenes. Angels of Fall remained active until 2018.
