MARRS was an American recording collective formed in 1987 by the collaboration of two groups, A.R. Kane and Colourbox. The project released a single commercial record and achieved recognition primarily through one track: "Pump Up the Volume," which became an international hit and remains their sole single release. Despite their brief existence and limited discography, MARRS gained considerable cultural impact through this one recording, earning distinction as a one-hit wonder whose influence extended far beyond their minimal output.
