Ángela Carrasco

Angela Carrasco is a Dominican singer specializing in melodic ballads and Latin song traditions. Born in Montecristi, she began her career remarkably young, performing at age seven as the vocalist for a commercial jingle composed by Salvador Sturla. During the 1970s, Carrasco emerged as part of a prominent generation of Latin American female singers that included notable artists such as Susana Giménez, Charytín Goyco, Iris Chacón, Ednita Nazario, and Yolandita Monge. Her career has spanned decades since her professional debut in 1951.
