Manuel Mijares is a Mexican singer specializing in adult-contemporary pop and Latin ballad music. Born in 1958, he launched his professional career at 23 and gained significant popularity across Latin America and Japan during the mid-1980s through mid-1990s. His smooth vocal style and romantic ballad interpretations established him as a prominent figure in Latin pop. Mijares was married to Mexican entertainer Lucero from 1997 to 2011, and the couple has two children together.
