Manfred Mann's Earth Band is an English rock group founded by South African musician Manfred Mann in 1971. The band gained prominence through their interpretations of Bruce Springsteen compositions, most notably "Blinded by the Light" and "Spirit in the Night," which became significant chart successes. Their sound blends classic rock with progressive and pop-rock elements. Following a brief period of inactivity during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the group resumed their career and has maintained an active touring schedule into the 2020s.
