Angelcorpse was a blackened death metal act that emerged following the dissolution of Pete Helmkamp's earlier project, Order from Chaos. Based initially in Kansas City, Missouri, the band subsequently established itself in Tampa, Florida, where they developed their fusion of black and death metal aesthetics. The group became known for their distinctive approach to the genre, blending the atmospheric elements of black metal with the brutality characteristic of death metal.
