Macross 7 is an anime television series that premiered in October 1994 as a continuation of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Set considerably after the original series, it introduces a largely new cast of characters while maintaining the franchise's signature style. The show aired 49 episodes between October 1994 and September 1995. For decades, the series lacked an official North American release, remaining unlicensed in that region until 2022, when Right Stuf and Nozomi Entertainment announced plans to distribute it on home video.
