"My Immortal" is a track from Evanescence's 2003 debut album Fallen, released as the third single in December 2003 by Wind-up Records. The song was originally written by Amy Lee and Ben Moody when they were teenagers, with the earliest recording dating to 1997. Multiple versions exist, including a demo version featuring synthesizer keyboards that was used on the album despite Lee's objections, and a re-recorded "band version" with full instrumentation and orchestral arrangements for the final release.
