"Love Is a Stranger" is the opening track from Eurythmics' second album, Sweet Dreams (1983). Initially released by RCA Records in October 1982, the single underperformed in the UK charts. A 1983 re-release proved significantly more successful, achieving top 20 positions across multiple countries and reaching number six in the UK. The track was re-released once more in 1991 alongside the group's Greatest Hits compilation.
