Will Smith released this track as the third single from his debut solo album Big Willie Style in early 1998. The song incorporates samples from Sister Sledge's "He's the Greatest Dancer" in the verse and the Bar-Kays' "Sang and Dance" in the chorus, along with record scratching elements from Whistle's "(Nothing Serious) Just Buggin'". It marked Smith's second successful collaboration with producers Poke & Tone and L.E.S., who had taken over from his previous regular collaborator Jazzy Jeff, though Jazzy Jeff's scratching techniques are still present on the track.
