Watermark is the second studio album by Irish singer-songwriter Enya, released in September 1988 through WEA. Following her self-titled debut, Enya signed with Warner Records after label chairman Rob Dickins discovered her music. The contract granted her significant creative control with minimal label involvement. She collaborated with longtime partners Nicky Ryan and Roma Ryan over a ten-month recording period, initially recording demos in Ireland before relocating to London for final production and digital mastering. The album blends multi-tracked vocals with keyboards, percussion, and influences from Celtic, ambient, and new-age styles.
