Watermark is the second studio album by Irish singer-songwriter Enya, released in September 1988 through WEA. Following her self-titled debut, Enya signed with Warner Records after label chairman Rob Dickins discovered her music. The contract offered her substantial creative control with minimal label involvement and no time constraints. She spent ten months recording with longtime collaborators Nicky Ryan and lyricist Roma Ryan, initially in Ireland before relocating to London for final production and digital mastering.
