Born in the U.S.A. is Springsteen's seventh studio album, released through Columbia Records. It was recorded in New York City with the E Street Band over a two-year period, with recording sessions producing between 70 and 90 songs. Some tracks originated from demo material created for his previous album Nebraska. Additional songs from these sessions were later released as B-sides and on compilation albums, while others remain unreleased.
