Lizzie Miles

Lizzie Miles was an American blues singer of Afro-Creole heritage who rose to prominence during the early twentieth century. Born Elizabeth Mary Landreaux, she built a career spanning nearly seven decades, performing in blues and vaudeville settings from 1895 onward. Miles became known for her contributions to the blues genre during a formative period in American music history. She remained active in performance throughout her life until her death in 1963.
